You can get 11 GB of free data from Airtel: here’s how
Airtel customers can get up to 11GB of free data with a bunch of deals put together. The telecommunications operator is offering 5 GB of free data to new Airtel 4G customers which can be used by downloading the Airtel Thanks application.
If you just bought a new SIM card or upgraded to a new 4G device, all you need to do is go to the Airtel Thanks app with your new number and get the free data. However, this offer is only available to prepaid customers and new customers.
That 5 GB that Airtel is offering comes in the form of five 1 GB coupons that will be credited to your account within 72 hours, according to a report from TelecomTalk. In addition, in order to benefit from these 5 GB of free data, you must register your number on the Airtel Thanks app within 30 days of activating your number. Once you have done the necessary, you will find the coupons in the “My coupons” section of the app.
Each 1 GB coupon can be used within 90 days of the day of the credit, once activated, the free data will remain active for three calendar days.
On the other hand, if you are an Airtel 4G user and have not yet downloaded the Airtel Thanks app, you can enjoy 2GB of free data, otherwise this 5GB offer.
So where does the remaining 6 GB of data for that free 11 GB come from?
Airtel offers 6 GB of free data on its site. However, to get that 6GB of data, subscribers will need to top up with an unlimited top up pack.
If you want to take advantage of any of these offers, you will need to complete all of these top ups through the Airtel Thanks app.
